Before I start, how are you getting on with my 72 hour timetable from yesterday's post? Time's running out!

OK, back to now...

I retired from ladder climbing yesterday.

Over the past week I had been painting some of my house, and it's a three storey place. So I used my trusty Little Giant ladder to get to some high parts.

No driving, writing or table tennis.

The accident rate for Do-It-Yourselfers around the world is very high indeed. I have two friends who have fallen from high places and permanently damaged themselves.

I knew I was toying with danger every time I climbed that ladder. A strong gust of wind, an insect distraction, and my days as a writer could be over.

Do This To Win The Lottery

The biggest secret with my Silver Lotto System is simply that you need to play more lines to increase your winning chances.

Don't Paint Yourself Into A Lottery Corner

I'm painting part of my house right now.

An attractive gray color called Stony River. Together with the rich brown cedar wood, and white from around the rest of the house, it looks real good.

But it was a gamble.

See, I normally get designers or experts to do this stuff. And generally they do well if they are electricians or plumbers.

But color design is a different story. I couldn't get anyone to make the home as I visualized it.

So my wife and I did the paint selection ourselves. No arguments either. (At our advanced age we call them 'discussions').

But we didn't know the outcome until the paint went up.

Would it be a disaster?

We were right however. It's looking very nice... it was a good gamble.

And it got me thinking.

The Word That Can Stop You Losing Lotto!

The Cart Before The Horse

Friend of a friend of a friend approached me today. 

Wanted desperately to succeed in internet marketing. (But this post isn't really about that)...

He's taking a course from a well-known marketing guru. Being an engineer, he is following his talents by methodically analyzing every single item in that course, and steadily working his way through it.

I applaud him. But I think he will fail.

You see, the first question out of his mouth was, "What's the best business structure for my business?" 

Closely followed by: "How do I set up the banking for deposits?" And then... "Can you recommend a good company to process creditcard payments?"

Now, if you're not really into business, you may not understand his line of questioning.

But he is concentrating too much on the mechanics of business.

In fact, the stuff he was asking about would be fairly easy to find on the net with one finger in 30 minutes.

The hard part was getting an answer from him... on WHAT he was going to sell. (By the way, I'll tell you my recommendation in a minute)...

This happens all the time in life. Too many folk concentrate on the unimportant, unnecessary parts of a task... and forget to carry out the most essential - getting a product and then sales. 

The cart before the horse.

In this guy's case, he was working backwards towards his dream of a home-based bizness over the net. 

Studying, learning, swotting, compiling information, attaining perfection... are all losing steps until you make a sale.

Now, playing lotto is just the same.

Maybe you'll google a few websites to find the ideal system. Perhaps you'll buy a couple of programs (they aren't that expensive, even mine).

You'll try each system a couple times, playing here and there. 

Get no results. Give up.

And the products end up at the back of your hard drive, gathering digital dust.

See Your Lottery Future For The Price Of A Hamburger

How A Good Lottery System SAVES You Money

"Ken, I've been following your newsletters for a while now, and one thing keeps telling me I've bought the right system. It's the winnings I get from it. I used to use (Product Name Withheld), and every week I'd spend $20. Here's what I got over the last 6 months I played this loser program:

Feb - $12

Mar - $0

Apr - $3

May - $0

Jun - $3

Jul - $0

Dave has correctly figured out what my system is all about. 

Since you can't guarantee WHEN a winning prize will float into your wallet, you have to make the most of what you've got in the meantime.

This means you should choose a system that drives up your chances as high as possible. 

Buying a lottery system is a bit like buying a film camera. (Remember film?) Many years ago I was a pro photographer for 10 years, so I know a lot about film. 

Buying a camera is a low-price investment compared to the cost of film you need for it.

The better shots you get... the less wastage from blurry photos, cut-off heads, red eye shots, missing body parts (urk, sounds like a Halloween movie) - the more valuable your camera becomes to you. 

You save by using less film.
