How To Win The Lottery With These Numbers

It was friend Larry's phone call yesterday which started it all.

"Hey Ken," he said, "I haven't received that lotto email from you yet."

"No problems Larry," I said, reaching for my mouse. "I'll send it again right now."

He rang again later that afternoon.

"Nothing yet," he said.

I was puzzled. "Are you sure you have whitelisted my address?" I asked.

He had.

It was the beginning of some long hours long search to find out the reason. 

And it ended rather embarrassingly for me.

Because - as I discovered to my horror, due to some filtering system within my email host many of my e-mails weren't getting OUT. 

And worse than that, I wasn't getting any notification of the failures happening either. 

Now, I don't know how many e-mails have been "lost" that way, but according to my test it could be as many as 40-50%.

A disaster, pure and simple.

I was shocked.

So the first step was to ditch my email host.

And now I'm using Gmail, with a system which I've tested - and which works.

How long had this been going on for? 

I've no idea. Years, maybe.

But it's fixed now, I'm certain.
