Will A Lotto Win Make You Happy?
Now...the big question I bet you all wanted to know - does a big win make us happy?
You'll be happy to know it does.
According to a recent survey from the British Camelot Group Plc which runs the lottery there, over 70% of Lotto winners say that they are happier now than before their win. The rest - 28% of all winners surveyed - say that they are just as happy as they were before the win.
Whatever they won, large or small, does not seem to make a difference to the levels of happiness they experienced. Those who have won $3 - $9 million are just as happy as those who have won more.
The main reasons for the increase in happiness are:
- Having greater security and no money worries (57%),
- They can buy what they like (28%) and
- Being able to look after their family and friends (12%)
